1973 – Martinsville. Driving the 2x, Ed is in 5th position in this photo. If this was the Spring race, he finished 3rd. If this was the Autumn race, he was taking the lead from Jerry Cook when their cars tangled, putting Ed out of the race.

This was a rare appearance at Norwood for Bill, who would have come there as part of a trip that included the Stafford Springs dirt track the night before.
