Bill Wimble
1960 – Stafford Springs. Bill Wimble was a fine driver, one of the very best “combo” drivers who excelled on both asphalt and dirt. In his autobiography, however, Bill said something unkind and, I believe, inaccurate about Ed. We’re giving him a place on this website, but only a small one.

In the image Dick Foley’s ’57 Chevy is on the far left. A moment before, it had started to get sideways, which caused both Ed in the Studebaker and Larry Frank in the white-and-black coach to take evasive action.
