1966 – Malta. This car was actually the #6x normally driven by Bob Vivari. On this occasion the black 2x coupe had suffered a blown engine, and Gene and Bob Judkins borrowed the 6x for the night. This photo was said to have been taken at Reading Fairgrounds in 1968, but I suspect that it was taken in 1969. That is not Ed driving. It is likely to be either Gene Bergin or Jim Hurtubise, who both drove the car on dirt tracks.
