1958 – Results of a race on the sands of Daytona Beach. This was the last year they held racing on the sands; the following year the first Daytona 500 was held at Daytona Speedway. Although Ed was not yet a member of NASCAR and therefore was ineligible, he subsequently raced Modifieds against many of the drivers in this beach race.
